A huge thanks to all of the families who took part in the 2020 Super Stroll!
Our plans to host the event in Hardwick Park were scuppered as a result of Covid-19, so we had to do things a bit differently this year. To ensure social distancing, families were invited to dress up and take part in the Super Stroll at a destination of their own choice.
Dozens of families across Teesside took part in the event, posting their fab photos on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter (we LOVED seeing the children dressed as their favourite superheroes)!
We were delighted to smash our fundraising target of £1000, especially in the current climate, and are very grateful to everyone who donated! The funds raised will be used well and we look forward to posting an update of what we are up to and how vital funds raised are being used to support children and families across Teesside.
The event also helped raise the profile of the charity as it generated coverage from BBC Radio Tees and The Northern Echo. Well done to our CEO, Sue, who was a tad nervous about appearing LIVE on BBC Radio Tees – she did a fab job 🙂
Thanks to Trenchers Award Winning Fish & Chip Restaurant for donating a voucher for 4 people. Everyone who donated £10+ was entered into a prize draw to win the voucher. Congratulations to the winner – Edie Peacock! NeoAngels supported Edie’s twin nephews and their family, so it is a charity close to her heart.
Thanks also to Wynyard Hall, who donated a family pass to The Gardens. This prize was for the best dressed family. The winner will be announced shortly – it’s been a very tough decision as there were some fabulous costumes.
